Please be aware that all pool and roofer classifications are issued at higher rates due to their history of losses in this category. Additional information may also be required such as business and personal financial statements.

Please fill out the application and fax it to us so we may review and submit it for approval. Surety will run a credit report, and based on your good credit, they will approve, reject, or give us approval with conditions. Spouses must sign the application because California is a community law state. Bond limits are scheduled to increase to $12,500.00 in the beginning of 2007. Three, four and five-year terms are offered at a reduced rate.

Surety also has excellent rates on pool contractors bonds. Higher rates will be charged for those with less acceptable credit.

The bond will not be released until we are in receipt of original signed application and premium. Please let us know if you have special handling needs.

If you are an RME (Responsible Managing Employee) or RMO (Responsible Managing Officer) please give us a call so we may go over your information in more depth. The same application may be used for each; however, you must indicate whether you are an RME or an RMO. The Contractors License Board offers detailed instruction on their web site and gives descriptions of all the licenses. You may also perform a search (http://www.cslb.ca.gov/consumers/default.asp) to determine if the contractor’s license is in force or suspension. License applications are also available.
